A Sign in the Stones: Trusting the Shift When Doubt Creeps In

A Sign in the Stones: Trusting the Shift When Doubt Creeps In

Let me just say this upfront: change is hard. Even when it’s the right change.

Recently, I did something kind of big. I marked down every single nail wrap in my inventory, clearanced the whole thing out on eBay, and said: “Okay. That chapter’s done.”

The plan? Start moving full speed into my metaphysical line: crystals, energy work, all the things that actually feel like me.

But here’s the thing.
Even when you know something’s not working anymore… you still wonder:
“Was that a mistake?”
“Am I wasting more time?”
“What if this is just another long detour that goes nowhere?”

I’ve been having those thoughts. More than I’d like to admit, honestly.

Then the weirdest thing happened.

I was browsing through estate auctions, like I do all the time, and I came across something I’ve never seen before. This one auction had a huge spread of crystals. Not just one or two mixed in with the knickknacks. I’m talking dozens. All beautiful, all clearly taken care of. I was honestly stunned.

And right there, something in me just clicked.

I’ve spent years watching auctions, sourcing vintage stuff… and this? This was different. This felt like the universe sliding a little note under the door:
“You’re on the right path. Keep going.”

Not All Signs Are Loud Ones

That moment wasn’t dramatic. No lightning bolt. No booming voice from the sky. Just a calm little knowing. A nudge.
And it made me realize something:
Sometimes your confirmation comes in the quiet.
Sometimes it looks like a box of rocks in a forgotten auction, and you just know.

So I guess I’m saying this for anyone else who’s stuck between “Was that dumb?” and “I hope I didn’t just screw up again.”
You’re not alone.
Starting over takes guts. So does walking away from something that “kind of” works when you know it’s not right.

If You’re in the Middle of a Shift Too…

Here’s what I’ve learned so far:
Doubt is part of the process. It doesn’t mean you’re wrong.
Signs aren’t always loud. Sometimes they’re weird and unexpected.
And sometimes, you won’t get a sign at all. You’ll just have to walk forward anyway and trust your gut.

If something in your life is pulling you in a new direction, but fear’s got you second-guessing everything, you’re in good company. I’m right there too. Sorting stones, setting up a new shop, trying to stay grounded and keep the faith.

Anyway, thanks for letting me share this little piece of the journey. If you’ve ever had a sign like this, a strange one, a small one, anything, I’d love to hear it. Those stories matter. They remind the rest of us that maybe, just maybe, we’re not completely lost after all.
