Every year around this time, something shifts.
The windows get opened. Blankets get folded away. Closets get sorted. There’s a quiet urge to let fresh air move through spaces that have grown a little too full over winter.
This year, that same energy has found its way into Tonitunes.
From February 14–28, I’m hosting a Spring Clear-Out, but let me be clear: this isn’t a blowout, everything-must-go frenzy. It’s not a frantic slash-and-dash sale.
It’s intentional. If you’d like to browse what’s currently available, you can visit the main shop hub here, it connects you to all of my stores.
Over time, any growing shop accumulates inventory that lingers a little longer than expected. Some pieces are wonderful, but they’ve simply waited their turn too long. Others were experiments, good ones, but not quite aligned with where the brand is heading.
Rather than letting those items quietly collect dust (and advertising dollars), I’ve decided to release them.
Not out of desperation.
Out of direction.
Why a Clear-Out Now?
Running a vintage business means constant rotation. When shelves are too full, new finds don’t get the spotlight they deserve. When ad budgets are spread thin, the pieces that truly define the shop can’t shine.
This Spring Clear-Out is about clarity:
Clearing long-listed inventory
Refocusing advertising on signature categories
Making room for the next wave of curated glass, silver, and heirloom pieces
If an item sells during this event, wonderful, it’s heading to a home where it will be enjoyed. If it doesn’t, it will be donated locally, where it can still serve a purpose.
Either way, it moves forward.
And forward momentum matters.
A Small Story About Space
Years ago, I learned something simple while cleaning out a cabinet at home.
I had tucked away a few beautiful pieces I loved, but because there were too many in one place, none of them were truly enjoyed. They blended together. They became background instead of focal points.
That moment stuck with me.
Too much of a good thing can dull appreciation.
Since then, I’ve tried to operate with a different mindset: enjoy what speaks to you, steward it well, and then let it move on so something new can take its place.
This sale follows that same principle.
What This Sale Is – and Isn’t
This event includes select marked listings only. It does not apply shop-wide, and it doesn’t signal a change in the quality or direction of Tonitunes.
In fact, it signals the opposite. If you’re new here, you can read the story behind Tonitunes and how it began.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be listing some incredible new finds – pieces that truly align with the aesthetic and long-term vision of the shop. Think curated glass that glows in the light, beautiful silver ready for gathering tables, and carefully chosen vintage that feels intentional.
This is about refinement.
About making room for what’s next.
About letting fresh air move through both shelves and ideas.
